Tidy but dated room. Good size with two doubles. Reasonable value I thought. Excellent pressure in the shower. Our room was overlooking bars and cafe so got rowdy on Friday night. Solved this by joining the festivities. Will stay again if in the area.

Thanks so much to management (Sonya, Matt & Staff) who went out of their way to be helpful and accomodate our needs and give us an wonderful stay. The room was quiet and we had no issues at all. Thanks again for everything. Highly recommended.

I am always interested to read reviews by other travellers, as there is nearly always someone who finds fault! Joe Public for you, as we say in the UK! Gulf Harbour Lodge is clean, has well appointed rooms, and overlooks the marina. We had a special rate of $99 for a room for two in November 2012. There were in... More

My wife and I stayed at the Lodge 7th and 8th July 2012. We had an executive suite which was very spacious and well appointed with a spectacular view down the canal. A kingsize bed, ample clothes storage for a longer stay, a dining table, writing desk, sofa, all made for a very relaxing environment. There was also a toaster... More

We stayed here last Saturday night. I agree with earlier reviews. The room was clean and presentable. The reception staff pleasant and helpful. The bar just opposite was very noisy and open till late, made worse since we couldn't close the top windows to shut out the noise. The Carpe Diam restaurant served tasty, but basic food, which was overpriced. Breakfast was... More

We stayed in March 2012 for three nights. The motel is in a nice setting and forms part of a modern complex which includes a couple of decent restaurants and a few shops that overlook the small marina. There are a few other local shops just across the road including the best takeaway fish & chip shop I've ever come... More

My wife and I stayed for 6 nights in march from the time we checked in the staff were unpleasant as I counted approx 8 persons whom were suppossed staff members although you wouldn't know about it unless they were behind the counter as only two had name tags on and know one had uniforms that represented where they worked... We stayed two nights at Gulf Harbour Lodge and we would definitely stay there again. I asked for a quiet king size room and we were upgraded to a suite. These rooms are large, beautifully appointed and very comfortable with a lovely view of the harbour. We were lucky enough to be there when the Sunday markets were on in... More

We booked in to relax after a week sailing the Bay of Islands and catch up with friends in the area. Gulf Harbour Lodge was the perfect choice! The room was roomy & comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and obliging. I would recommend you consider paying the extra $20 for the room with King bed if you are a... More
