My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. This is a great hotel for young people- it was easy to meet other young people and las terrenas has a lively night life. The hotel is literally across the street from one of the nicer areas of beach and a 15 minute walk to anywhere... More

Very unpleasant expericence.. We traveled to Las Terrenas 2 weeks ago. What a lovely town, with so much to offer. Unfortunately, we tried getting a room at Hotel Palapa, wich is located in across the road from the main beach. First, we walked in, and there was no one at the front desk. We went to the restaurant up front,... More

Awesome 2 weeks and 3 more to go. A quiet place at the eastern end of the main waterfront strip and just steps to the beach. The recent renovations and upgrades are quite pretty. Plenty of great restaurants around including Kahuna which is on the property and has the BEST burgers in town! Or there is a communal kitchen upstairs... More

Very clean and comfortable, and certainly affordable. This place is right on the beach on a really calm bay (perfect for... More

Within walking distance from town and just across the street from the gorgeous beach with a friendly bar, this was one of the most warmest friendliest environments I've ever traveled to. I was sad to go. The hotel is safe, clean, and everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant is magnificent, and the bar is welcoming and relaxing. As... More

My wife, son (2 years) and I had a great week at the Palapa Beach Hotel in Las Terrenas, Samana, recently. The bungalow is quite big with two extra beds downstairs, a fridge, bath room, and room for clothes. Upstairs there was a desk, a queen bed, a big closet, a safe w. key, and a baby crib we had... I spent two nights at Palapa Beach Hotel in Las Terrenas in July 2007. My trip to las the Samana Peninsula was a side trip from my vacation to Dominican Republic. I found the hotel by chance as I was driving into Las terrenas. We decided to stop and check it out because the atmosphere looked really cool. They had... More
