I was spoilt by my amazing boyfriend for a weekend away and we stayed in the Dame Edna, and this place was the completely perfect! Sue is a wonderful lady, her dog Issy is super friendly but isn't over the top (doesn't jump on you), the rooms are breath taking - a vintage feel with a modern twist. We've already... More

We had the pleasure of staying in the Dame Nellie suite for 6 nights from the 26th April. Sue and trusty loveable off sider Issy were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. Delicious breakfasts and lovely cake with tea or coffee at anytime. Thanks to Sue and her local knowledge we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Blue Mountains. Marg... More

We greatly enjoyed our family holiday at Melba House over the Easter/Passover period (28 March-2 April 2013). Elegantly furnished, lovely Edwardian villa surrounded by traditional garden is a perfect setting for a luxury B & B experience. We were pampered with beautifully served breakfasts on the veranda, and freshly-made, delicious flourless cakes for the afternoon tea. Our host, Sue Handley,... More

My husband and I stayed at Melba House in the Dame Edna Suite for our wedding anniversary. We found Sue very friendly and welcoming, her attention to detail is remarkable. Having been in the hospitality industry many years ago I tend to be a little picky. It was lovely to find port and chocolates, biscuits and plunger coffee and a... More

My husband and I stayed at Melba House in November 2012. Sue was an amazing hostess and did not in the least mind when we turned up very late and even phoned a local indian restaurant for us and booked us a late table. The room was beautifully decorated and supplied with everything you would find in a 5 star... More

My husband and I stayed at Melba House December 2012 and loved the hospitality. We did not have reservations but lucked out with a room available over a weekend no less. Breakfast to our order was the perfect way to start our day! no other B&B we stayed in either the Blue Mountains or Hunter Valley offered a specialized breakfast.... More

We stayed here in February 2012. The rooms were tastefully furnished and decorated and very comfortable beds. Sue and dog Isabella were most welcoming. Everything was organised in an efficient and professional manner. The breakfast was delicious with interesting choices. Conveniently situated for the local sights and town and quiet at night. Highly recommended!

Yes wow!!!!! what a beautifully well kept restored Edwardian home. For me it was like a step back into time, and a wonderful experience and a privelege to stay here. I felt very spoilt indeed.
