Booked hotel as a stop over on journey back to UK in the car. Weather was very cold and wet, so it was great to be able to go back to the warmth & comfort of the hotel. Stunning former convent. Underground, secure carpark available at e15 per night if required. Had read some reviews that food was poor/ expensive,... More

Stayed one night at this hotel. The room is nice, bed is comfortable and the view from the window is lovely. Its walking distance to the old city of Cuenca where you can see the hanging houses. At night we spend time having a drink at the central garden atrium. It's calm and we love this place.

Once a convent, this hotel oozez with atmosphere! Room was large and lovely with a view over hanging houses. Quality bedding, nice decor. It was lovely to stay there, absolutely magnificent building and great breakfast. Some staff was not over friendly, but Jose-Manuel went out of his way to help us with information. Only negative is that the aircon did... More

The Parador at Cuenca is a former convent that sits across a gorge from the famous hanging city of Cuenca. The hotel is a beautiful facility with great public rooms, including a central garden atrium, comfortable and well decorated individual guest rooms and beautiful dining room. The restaurant/dining room has a menu of local dishes that are well prepared (heavy... More

Amazing value, nice, clean room. Charming building. Good breakfast. Certainly would choose to stay here again if I am back in Cuenca. Staff was helpful but did not go out of their way to help. Nice views of the city. Can easily walk to town.

If ever in Cuenca mandatory to stay there. Location and view cant be better. And small things like parking does not matter. Must stay. Short walk over the bridge to old center, if time please go into the church at the plaza.

We visited Cuenca from Valencia and travelled by the fast train, only one hour. Spent two days at the parador which was in a fantastic setting and very comfortable. The breakfasts were good but the evening meals were quite disappointing. I am not the first to state the restaurant is a bit hit and miss, so its about time they... More

This was our first stop on a tour of Paradors in April. Apart from the chilly weather, everything else was really good. The Parador has great views towards the town and you can get to it in a couple of minutes so long as you're not afraid of heights as the pedestrian bridge is rather high! Staff were very welcoming... Our penultimate hotel on our Grand Iberian Tour is the Parador in Cuenca and blow me down if its not possible to drive up to the door, which we did and stopped, and reset the satnav for the following day, no sign of Jose or Manuelanna so yet again as ever lug the bags in myself, oh and it's pushing... Parador is situated in a superb location with great views of the "Casas Colgadas". We parked in hotel garage. From the moment we walked we were impressed with gentleman offering us a warm and geunine friendly welcome and conversation. First class. The Parador is lovely, as was the food. The location is fascinating with a bridge across gorge into old town.... More
