We have just got home after staying a couple of nights here. The room was very clean and comfortable (probably one of the cleanest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in). The owner is very friendly and helpful and she really cares that everything is right for her guests and customers. The breakfasts are cooked to order. You have exactly... More

We didn't stay in the Oak but had an hour to kill before an appointment so called in for a light lunch hoping it would be OK. It was a little more than OK. Both the lady behind the bar serving drinks and the one who probably cooked and certainly served our main courses were both exceptionally warm, welcoming and... More

How often does the owner of a small inn offer you another helping of breakfast (by the way beautifully cooked with local produce) because she's worried you still look hungry. Or keep bringing freshly ground coffee to help delay the need to go out into the wintry weather. Or invite in a young lady from outside who's waiting for a... More

Just spent two nights at The Oak, very comfortable, clean and cosy. We had dinner on the first evening and it was delightful-the cheese board was huge. Drinks were not too expensive and a great choice of wines available. Overall a very relaxing stay.

Although myself, my sister, her partner and our parents only stayed for the one night at The Oak, I wish it could have been longer as the accommodation was very comfortable and the food was wonderful. The land-lady and her staff were most attentive to our needs and the decor in the bar and the guest rooms was very homely.... More

Very welcoming and relaxing, particularly with the log fire. The landlady and her staff were most attentive. Great pint of IPA from Whitstable accompanied by beautifully cooked and presented food. Accommodation very comfortable.

Great service, friendly welcoming staff, very modern and attractive decor both in the bar and the guest rooms, exactly what any traveler would expect, the guest rooms are away from the pub with their own entrance, very clean and perfectly set with the heating on ready for your arrival, evening meal faultless and so was the breakfast, my company booked... We stayed here for 2 nights, just a short visit to Kent. We loved the pub environment, was very cosy, warm and the prices a very affordable. The food were excellent. I wasn't very well to eat a big meal, and they staff offered me meals to suit my appetite which is not on the menu. The room were a bit... More

Lovely pub on a very quiet village high street. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was super. Close to Ashford and a lovely drive to Canterbury. Our only concern was the shower, to turn it on you actually have to go into the shower and then hurry out as it takes a short time to warm up. Whoever... More

Stayed for one night in a single room at The Oak. Clean, honest room with spotless ensuite. Room was quite small but ok for one. My companion had the double room which again was cosy, clean and purposeful with television on the wall. Just one query there was damaged to the wall above the television which needed plastering over. Apart... More
