We stayed at the 4 star Best Western Katowice for one night using onhotels.com for about £44. The Hotel is located about 5-6 Km from the centre. We spent two nights in Best Western Premier Katowice. It is an old building but adjusted to be a modern hotel. The rooms are small but colourful and clean. The food is typically Silesian. Although located far from the centre, the hotel has a good bus connection.

Neighborhood does not look very nice, nor building itself. So entering building creates therefore big surprise. Well renovated inside. Clean, nice, stall pleasant, the only weak point I see is probably the washing basins in the bathroom. It is so small that you have to be extremely carefull not to get water everywhere. Bar is also well equiped. I just regret Caïpirinhas are not excatly the genuine ones :)
