If you're visiting Tartu for leisure, then I'd recommend staying in a more central hotel, as Kantri is ~10 minutes' drive from the centre. However, I was staying here on business as the meeting was being held in the same place, so I didn't have the luxury of choice. The rooms were more like a hostel, the floors were noisy to walk on and the basic bed coverings comprised a duvet covered in something reminiscent of sleeping bag lining. The beds were like concrete so I took a duvet from one of the others just to get comfortable. The pillows were the least supportive I've every used. The water in the bathroom was so heavily contaminated with rust that you could smell the iron, making showers very unpleasant. Lucky, dispensers of drinking water were provided, although they weren't always full. The breakfast was a little basic and I found a mosquito floating in the milk but it was otherwise satisfactory.
