Overall impression - I was left wanting. Wanting to go home. Stayed 4 nights for a conference. Lobby very nice. Great view of Riga. Spent quite a bit of time in the lobby instead of my room. The hotel is just across the Dougava River and few minutes walk away from the Old town! The rooms are immaculate clean and all have views of Riga. The breakfast is all you can eat with a wide choice and surely be enjoyed even by touchy eaters!!!

We had two nights here which unfortunately clashed with the annual Marathon. This made the hotel very busy and the staff tired and unhelpful. Really dodgy, old, wornout hotel, far away from the centre. The only plus side was the staff. Agree you need to pay for a front room but for an extra 20 Euros a night it didi not break the band. We had a great view - room was comforable and large enough for our needs.
