4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2013 NEW

Stayed for a week with my husband. The hotel is a lovely restored set of buildings and the rooms all seem to be individually designed with great attention to detail. Our room (34) was small, and had a petite seating area overlooking the terrace and sea, so was most pleasant. Staff are pleasant and professional, though the atmosphere feels somewhat... More

I stayed there with my wife and daughter for two friends' wedding. The hotel is beautiful in every way. The rooms are great with a lot of attention to detail. The pool is great, especially for small kids as it has a long shallow part (my daughter is 3). The best asset of the hotel is its staff who are... More

We stayed at kin sterna while on a road trip exploring the pelopponese . It was pure bliss - fantastic pool with breathtaking views, excellent breakfast and great design in the rooms as well. The restaurant with the water underneath is especially romantic and you can then enjoy a moonlight walk across the grounds.

This hotel is the definition of the term boutique hotel. Although it is located 6km away from the castle of Monemvasia, you simply forget the possibility of staying anywhere else. Its tranquility, its scenery and of course its services make it one of the best Greek resorts

We stayed in Kinsterna for 4 nights at the start of October, having got the coach from Athens to Monemvasia. We chose the hotel partly because of its credentials with local and seasonal food. There was a veg patch all around the pool growing fruit and veg. It was a lovely break out of season so we almost had the... More

The Kinsterna deserves all the praise and distinctions it does receive these days. It is really a very special hotel, very romantic, very quiet, very beautiful : an atmospheric place to enjoy when travelling in eastern Laconia. Our room was beautifully designed and furnished, and we enjoyed it . A remark however : ours was a bit small. The restaurant of... More

This was our final destination in our trip to the Peloponnese and definitely the highlight. It is a very old mansion from the Byzantine times a few miles away from the citadel of Monemvasia. The hotel is located amongst two green hills (one of which has the hotel's private vineyards) and has tremendous view to the sea. We where picked... More

I really wanted to love this place, but it just didn't live up to its billing. They have the ingredients for a fabulous hotel - lovely building, great views, nice pool etc, but the ineffectual service blighted our stay. Also it rather feels like a place trying to extract as much cash as possible from its guests: no tea/coffee making... More

We came back to Kinsterna for a second year in a row. Perfect stay again. Perfect drinks again. We did not want to leave again. We stayed at one of the suites with an amazing balcony overlooking the Rock and the pool. The welcoming bottle of a champagne at the room was a great touch and the amazing people that... More

We (M32, W26) stayed at the Kinsterna end of August / beginning of September for a week and we enjoyed it a lot. The property is an old Byzantine mansion that got beautifully and carefully renovated with a crazy love for the detail. The restaurant overlooking the cistern has excellent food (which is made mostly of vegetables grown on the... More
