Vilacampina is a very stylish, and wonderfully secluded home away from home, with the most personal service you can imagine - Sofia and all her staff genuinely care about their guests. The location in the eastern part of the Algarve is great: 5 mins to Barril beach (miles and miles of white sand and dunes), 10 mins to Tavira (a... More

From the moment we arrived to the time we left nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Vilacampina. They made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. All the staff have customer service at the top of their list, but special mention must be made to Jennifer who is a credit to Vilacampina. Even when we had a small... More

Me and Mrs R have just returned from this beautiful little gem.I was a little worried when we approached the Hotel but its all behind a large wall ...a hidden secret .Sophia and her family & staff could not have been more helpful with suggestions of local restaurants and local events / shops . The décor was superb and the... More

We stayed in the corner suite at Vilacampina just after Easter. The weather was mixed, but we were very happy to be in such a comfortable, secluded, friendly and stylish place. Sofia and her staff (particularly Ria) are brilliant, and you feel very welcome at all times. The breakfast, by the way, is very good.

Thank you Sofia for making our stay so perfect! It's all the little touches that make a stay wonderful - we arrived very late to be met with a smile and were shown to our simply beautiful room to find gifts! - a bottle of red, a selection of delicious nuts (which we forgot to ask Sofia about as we... Guesthouse/small hotel. Whatever you call it, it's brilliant. Personal, beautiful, luxurious, quiet and the food is incredible. Home-made preserves, tarts, fresh fruit, yoghurt, freshly squeezed juice, cold meats etc. I suppose the only downside is having to drive to restaurants, the beach etc but they can't help that. Wander from your room through a lemon grove to a beautiful pool... More

We spent 3 nights at Vilacampina. As we pulled in, we were greeted by Sofia, the owner, who immediately made us feel at home, giving us a tour and recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Everything about the guesthouse is immaculate- beautifully designed and so clean. The outside areas were amazing, but we were there in early March and... More

We stayed here for a week a few years ago....and still dream of it to this day! We were welcomed with a glass of bubbles which is always a nice start to the holiday! We stayed in a smaller room for the first couple of nights then moved into a bigger one for the last few with a huge balcony.... More

Me and my wife just spent four wonderful nights at vilacampina. What a find, lovely staff and great hospitality from the owner Sofia. Breakfast, what can i say i could not stop eating it was a real treat, especially the cakes. Lovely area with quiet deserted beaches, a lovely part of Portugal. Will definitely be returning. Just spent 7 wonderful days at Vilacampina. The best place we've ever stayed and the best introduction to Portugal we could have hoped for. Attentive but relaxed service, great local knowledge and tips especially beaches, sight-seeing and restaurants. Pool area is fab - relaxing, spacious, stylish. Thanks to Margarida especially for all her help and tips and being so nice.... More
