Beautiful room - gems dripping off the lamps, chandeliers, jacquard high thread count bedlinen and a slipper bath. All too much? Try the ipod with groovy music, milk to make your own tea and more towels than you can shake a stick at! Lovely, lovely, lovely. Thanks so much.

We stayed at Escape to Picton last week and had the most fantastic time. We had booked the formal suite and it has to be the largest room we have ever stayed in. It was beautifully presented with a bed to die for. The bathroom had a beautiful stand alone bath in a very tasteful bathroom. The staff were very... More

What a lovely property, set in a picturesque town! Basically a converted house, that contains a restaurant and a few rooms. Staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating, even cooking breakfast by request (i.e. no menus, just tell us what you want!) The room was elegantly decorated with antiques in an a white linen theme, jacuzzi tub, and glass... More

My husband and I were in Picton a couple of weeks ago for a friends sons wedding and as we had previously eaten at Escape on our last visit and had a wonderful dining experience in a fantastic setting we decided to book in to one of their beautiful suites. We settled on the Formal Suite which blew us away.... More

We chose this hotel because it was rated as 5 star - not so! The first time we checked in the greeting was perfunctory and no help with cases. There was no basics in the room: minibar, aircon. The door opened outward and directly faced the bed - this didn't give us a feeling of privacy. We had a phone... More

In response to the review written from Not Again. I would like to point out that these clients had booked through Wotif at a discounted rate. Upon arrival ( check in is at 3pm but they arrived at 1pm which is two hours earlier than all off our other guests ) as Duty Manager I decided to up upgrade them... More

We recently stayed in Blenheim and decided to stay one night in Picton. We chose Escape to Picton Boutique hotel and the positives were that our room was beautiful and large and bed and pillows very comfortable. However compared to where we had stayed in Franz Joseph, Westport and Blenheim the overall experience was a bit disappointing considering how much... More

My husband and I stayed at Escape to Picton in the Formal Room just before Christmas, when we arrived we were greeted with a beatiful platter with cheescake, fresh fruit, chocolate and a glass of champagne. The bed was lovely and comfortable and after walking the Queen Charlotte Track what a delight to jump into the huge free standing French... More

This is the perfect escape from a busy city life, the room we stayed in was stunning, very comfortable bed and great free standing french bath. The breakfast was superb. The owner did try to oversell one of the wine tours which was a little off putting, but still we had a fantastic trip and would definitely recommend escape to... More

Escape to Picton will always be special to us. We have stayed here twice, leaving Wellington by ferry just to get away and relax at this unique little place. Normally the accommodation is not the purpose of your stay, but here you feel special. From the moment you walk in, meet the passionate owner, relax through bubbles and platter in... More
