This hotel was THE WORST hotel I have ever stepped foot in. It was absolutely disgusting. There are bed bugs, and no sheets on the bed. There was mold growing on the ceiling right above the bed and you could see that it was falling down on to the pillows. There were DC rats running all over the place. I... More

I was booked in here while on a research trip during January, and it's probably the worst place I've stayed in 20 years. It's sad and dilapidated, not very clean (the standard of housekeeping was low), and very noisy because the walls are paper thin (I felt like I was having a communal shower with the guys in the room... Now look this isnt first class but in DC expect to pay $500 a night for 5 star. I book the room at their Youth Hostel site and saved heaps. I had to pay for two people a night but had a private tiolet / shower nice large room and bed. Never saw bugs etc but admit it was dated... More

We just came back from a 3 night stay with a large group of kids for a trip to DC. While the kids didn't have a big problem with these accommodations as one of the organizers and having traveled a lot over the years, I was very unhappy with the District Hotel. We go to DC every year and this... More

OK so I reviewed this property a few years ago and dinged them for not having anyplace to hang my business suits. I was back (thank you Priceline) this year and made my need for clothes hangers known. They upgraded me to a larger room with a clothes hanging area (not a closet mind you; a clothes hanging area). Cool.... More

District Hotel is the worst hotel I even have been. I had reservation for 5 nights. 19 october to 24 october 2011. But at 5 a.m. I have stand up and I recognized a lot of bugs, cockroaches, and I movd to DoubleTree Hotel at the same street. I have negotiated almost the same price for the DoubleTree Hotel room... Stayed there last weekend for one night and that was sufficient. My room had two large beds and was actually quite sizeable, considering it is the least expensive in the neighborhood. I was quite pleased, even though it was obvious that the building itself was worn out. The thin walls allowed noises from the hallway and next rooms to penetrate... More

I stayed at the district hotel for 4 nights. The price was good under a 90 for D.C. The room was small only room for a full sizes bed and a chair. Bathroom was clean but tiles on the floor were coming up, door world not close properly, tiles in the shower were loose. Overall condition of the hotel rundown... More

I stayed here 4 nights recently. As many of the reviews have stated, the hotel was nothing special but for those willing to consider less than luxury it was clean and comfortable enough with excellent location and great value compared to alternatives.(I paid under $100 a night through travelocity) My first room did not have a table for computer work... I consider myself an easy-to-please person because I like super 8, but this one is even worse than the average super 8. I booked a queen bed room, and the room is so tiny that there is only enough room for one bed and a small dresser in front of the bed. The carpet and the walls were very old.... More
