Where to begin? I've stayed in everything from $35 boondocks motels to pricey historic resorts that were $299 a night. This was one of the better places I've stayed, by far. The staff, Jack in particular, were very friendly and personable. When several things went wrong on our trip, everyone was EXTREMELY helpful and very friendly. Phone calls were answered... More

My fiance and I stayed here for 3 nights in one of the basements rooms. At first, I was a bit wary of the thought of using a shared bathroom, but even during the weekend, it seemed the we were the only people using the bathroom! It was gorgeously spacious, with a nice heater to keep the whole bathroom warm.... More

We stayed for three nights in one of the rooms in the basement (the ones with shared bathrooms). We were excited about being able to stay at a B&B in Washington DC in the Woodley Park area at a relatively low price. Unfortunately, our experience was overwhelmingly disappointing. Let's start with the few positives: the price and location were great.... More

The owner Jack has been a hotel before his venture here and he combined the best of both worlds. Charming building, nice renovations updates, nice layouts and nice perks. Fast wifi, full free breakfast, free wine and freshly baked cookies, communal computer/printer/internet, and a/c.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming guesthouse. Jack is an extremely friendly and helpful host, baking cookies every day and making sure that all guests feel comfortable. The location is great, close to the Woodley Park metro station and to several good restaurants. We had a spacious room for three persons. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom... More

The owner is a really nice guy, great atmosphere and neighborhood. After staying at other terrible hotels I realized I should write a comment about the Kalorama (don't usually write these). The metro is close as well as the zoo and adam's morgan. Amazing breakfast! Good wifi. They have a great pod coffee maker and fresh coffee. Recommend jogging in... More

I stayed here instead of the confernce hotel up the road. It was my first B&B stay and I would definitely go back. I was weclomed with the smell of fresh baked cookies and Jack greeting me by name as I walked in the door...something that will never happen at a conference hotel. The place was clean and had all... Jack, the owner, is very very kind and the facility is gorgeous. The porch, along with the cherry blossom tree, were absolutely stunning. Jack, who is always in a good mood, is willing to do anything he can to make your stay comfortable. You get real fresh eggs in the morning, access to a computer and printer, and a big... More

What an charming, comfortable and convenient place to stay---- only a few blocks to the Metro, to bike rental and the fabulous Zoo. A quick ride, by Metro or bike, and we were on the Mall. The owner, Jack, is warm, available and helpful. I knew we would be well-cared for when we arrived at night to a plate full... More
