While the location and staff are great there are some problems. The rooms are not sound proof and if you are not willing to listening to traffic ask for a room overlooking the parking lot. We stayed one night at the Hawthorn Suites in Alameda. I wasn't sure what to expect because it was so inexpensive ($94/night for two room suite), but it was very pleasant. I stayed at the Hawthorn Suites with (2) 14 year old girls for nearly a week and it was just what we needed. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the bathroom was spacious with perfect water pressure in the shower.
