We could not have been more satisfied. Right location, right roof top patio, lovely old mansion type establishment. We loved it. Plan to be back in the future. Avalon is a typical old island town. This property fits right in.

Very inviting and friendly staff, decent coffee in the morning between 8-10am, great view from the 6th floor communal deck, comfortable bed, nice view from our window and quite strong water pressure in the shower. This hotel should really be called a bed and breakfast MINUS the breakfast. Its a bedroom, a small dated bedroom at your grandma's house. Perhaps an old converted house with history. I can't say I hated the hotel, the rooms were a bit out dated and aged but we slept well and had the most beautiful view from the 6th Floor Deck! I wouldn't tell you to stay away but I will tell you not to expect a lot. The staff was very friendly though!

The St. Lauren is a dated hotel with small rooms and very few amenities. Our room (502) was extremely small with really enough room for only the king sized bed, but still had a desk and a chair. location was nice, great view from the decks. plus if u had the balcony rooms. older hotel, but nice experience, great for it's price. late check out fee is a lil too much, given the express leaves at 6 pm sometimes. will recommend
