First let me say that I usually can find something to say as a negative -even minor. But this time is the FIRST time ever that I can not find a negative. The Consulate Suites is amazing! We stayed at the Ambassador suite. Our hope was that the suite would be comfortable for my husband and I and our two...

We stayed in the Attache Suite! Large, spacious room with a great private balcony for an after dinner cigar! We'll be back!

We stayed in the Attache for a weekend on our way to Siesta Key. We chose to stay in Apalachicola because of it's convenience to both Cape San Blas and St. George Island, with quaint small town convenience. Our suite was large with a living room open to a kitchen, a separate bedroom, bath, and (gasp!) even a laundry room....

The Consulate Suites were the best place to stay for a relaxing four-day vacation. The suite is impeccably clean and comfortable. It allowed us the space we needed to enjoy a laid-back, drive-to vacation spot within walking distance to shops and restaurants.. The restored architectural features of the Attache Suite provided a unique ambiance to our stay.

We tried the Consulate based on reviews in TripAdvisor and were well satisfied! Some of the docks are located directly across the street from the Consulate and it's a block or 2 walk to many, many restaurants and the main street area. Very convenient. You won't find such a fine selection of fresh seafood restaurants anywhere!
We were walking down...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our rather spontaneous one night stay at the Consulate Suites. We contacted Virginia by phone from the road, booked the Attache Suite and arrived late that evening to find it was beautifully appointed room - more like a luxury apartment - with a garden terrace attached. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, amenities quality and...

We were delighted to happen upon the "Consulate" by chance during a tour of Apalachicola. It's a gem of a place, located adjacent to the waterfront in a historic two-story building. There are several suites to choose from. We spent three nights in the "Attache" which over looks the rear garden from a second story deck. The suite is well-furnished,...

The Consulate Suites was a great place for a quiet family mini vacation. As new grandparents we enjoyed visiting with our son and daughter-in-law and watching our grandson toddle around on the beautiful wood floors. Sailboat watching was calming from the spacious river front balcony. The Consul Suite, where we stayed, is a 1300 square foot apartment with two bedrooms...

Spent 2 nights in the Port Captain suite at The Consulate in Apalachicola for my 65th birthday. Tastefully decorated, comfortable quarters were immaculate, thoughtfully furnished. Nice view of the river & shrimp boating activity, easy walking distance to outstanding restaurants. We're native Floridians & found the seafood to be the absolute best ever including The Owl and Tamara's Floridita for...
