I was expecting great service from Chan Chich because of everything I have heard and their recent award by Conde Nast for Best Jungle Lodge in Central American & Mexico but was blown away by how professional and generous they were with our recent need to reschedule our vacation. It is so refreshing to be treating so wonderfully - we... More

Last year we visited Chan Chich and fell in love with the place, the people, the food, and of course, the birds and animals. We could not wait to return and in early Feb. we did. While the October hurricane caused some damage to the jungle, the monkeys, and the birds all seem to be adapting and coming back. It... More

This is a marvellous lodge, far from the madding crowd. The accommodation is lovely and you get that 'deep in the rainforest feeling' Despite it's remoteness, the food is outstanding and the staff very friendly. There are several walks you can go on without the need for for a guide. However, if you are an unexperienced bird / wildlife spotter... More

Our family, three couples, went to Chan Chich for three days and three nights, and we had a really wonderful time. I have been on many different types of vacations, and we all found Chan Chich to be very unique and special. The lodge is located within a rainforest preserve on ancient mayan grounds, and its a really stunning area.... More

This was our second trip-first was 15 years ago. Chan Chich is simply the most relaxing, comfortable retreat that I can imagine. Both times we were with a guided bird tour but the local resort guides added so much to the experience with their knowledge of habitat etc that they are indispensable. We saw 190 different types of birds. The... More

This was our second trip to Chan Chich and we plan to continue returning. The first trip was in July 2007 when I was 6 months pregnant. It was our baby moon and it has zero to no malaria risk so we headed there. The lodge, staff and trip were so amazing and they welcomed us to come back after... More

My (now) husband and I stayed at Chan Chich for our pre-honeymoon (we got married at the end of our Belize trip). We were upgraded to the villa as a special honeymoon present. The villa was AMAZING and we cannot extend our gratitude enough to the staff for that wonderful gift! Aside from our gorgeous accommodations, we loved our stay... More

We stayed at Chan Chich for our 25th Anniversary. The luxurious thatched roofed cabanas are in the middle of the jungle surrounded by Mayan ruins that have been reclaimed by the jungle. We entered one of the ruins via a looter's trench. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was spectacular. There were choices for vegetarians on every... More

four or five years ago we spent a week in this deep jungle resort. the myan indians took care of the resort, friendliest people I ever met, loved the jungle atmosphere of being awakened by nature. walk down winding trails to really neat pool/sauna & watch the monkeys in trees as we swam. Loved the clean, unique thatched hutches, all service... More
