The Boston Hotel, although clearly misnamed as it's a hostel, was a good, realiable, and safe place to stay in a recent trip to Honduras. Rooms are cheap - about $12 US per day. They have singles as well as doubles, and some rooms are huge and have additional twin size beds (perfect for a large family).
The rooms are primarily divided by location, and all rooms have interior access. The "street side" rooms are remarkably loud. Although they contain a real door to the bathroom, tend to be much larger, and have a mini-balcony, there is no way I could recommend these rooms to anyone who wants to sleep at night.
Overall, the hotel is loud, because of the concrete design, outdoor open-air access, and the consistent echo. If somebody down the hall from your room sneezes or coughs, you will hear it, and it may even wake you because it sounds so loud.
