Cheap place, bathroom pretty gross (soap scum and other people's hair in shower and drain), but better than sleeping in truck again. Pretty filthy bathroom. Slept well though (then again, been up for 42 hours).

I've been twice now (as my husband works outta town and is staying here) both times the room was just GROSS. Soap scum all down the bathtub.. I went to walmart and bought cleaning material and cleaned the tub myself. It does come clean. I asked for them to wash the comforter as it was stained and nasty and she...

On a road trip west we skipped the major cities and opted for the small town hotels. While the property is a bit dated, the hosts are friendly and the rates cannot be beat. If you find yourself travelling on I70, don't discount stopping at this hotel for your overnight.
I would give this motel a 2 1/2 if I could-not terrible but for almost $60/night could be a little better. If I had paid $40 I'd probably give it a 4. Room was a decent size, beds were comfortable enough, room was pretty clean although the table and sink needed a wipe down. Bathtub was stained but I think...

For $50, this was a nice clean room. Everything was in working order, despite the room being outdated in decor. There is a fridge and microwave, plus a flat screen tv in each room. Will stay here again if my travels bring me this way.
Technically this may not be 3-star lodging, but it definitely exceeded my expectations given the very reasonable price ($55 incl. tax for a room with two doubles). The hostess (owner?) was kind and helpful. The room was reasonably clean and the air was cool and fresh when we arrived, although it was late at night--unlike the Days Inn we stayed...

While on the way to Colorado we stopped here. It was clean, safe and inexpensive. We had no problems. We definitely will stop there again. By the way, if you are looking for an excellent dinner. The Redwood Steakhouse in nearby (10 miles away) Anita, Iowa is excellent.
This hotel was good for a stopover from IL to CO. It's convenient to the expressway, gas, and a few fast food places. The rooms all open to the outside. We had two beds. The floor and 1/2 way up the wall was carpeted, with cinder block above (painted). It's not anything to look at, but it was clean and...
