Have been to Adventureland Inn many times. It is VERY conveniently located right next to Adventureland Park. Originally it had only one indoor pool but has expanded to two indoor pools. One with a swim up bar. One of the pools also has a kiddie section(shallow water and toys). Rooms are comfortable and kept clean. The restaurant is good. Many... More

We recently took our boys (4 and 6yrs old) to Adventureland Inn for a little "tropical fun" since the Iowa winter seems to be hanging on extra long this year. The kids, my husband, and I enjoyed our stay very much! I booked online, check-in was smooth and easy, we especially like that they have a wristband policy to keep... More

Attended a conference here. Staff was outstanding. There was a tiny bit of mold in the top of the shower, but the room was very clean and comfortable. If you have kids, they will love the pools. It's not a fancy indoor water park, but does offer two large indoor pools and a fun place to swim. For business travelers,... More

I was leary of staying here with all the bad reviews, but got our room for $64 with season passes adn had no where else to go for Spring Break so why not? Upon check in I was given my choice of standard room (does not open to pool). Chose a room (169) close to an outside door and close... More

We had 8 family members in our group and had ajoining rooms. We did open middle door to make 1 big room. Rooms were decent. Pool experience was a disaster. Chlorine smell was awful. My husband couldn't even sit in pool due to his burning eyes. Swim up bar was pathetic and was full of kids splashing even though there... More

After reading the horror stories about this hotel, I was very skeptical making reservations on a suite overlooking the pool. I went ahead and took the plunge (so to speak) and got the last room on the 2nd floor. We arrived at check-in, young man was very pleasant and helpful directing us where to park and on what door to... More

Stayed here last february. Very enjoyable stay. Kids loved the pool. They had a section for the kids that were toddler friendly. The rooms were clean and front desk was efficient. They even had a shuttle if you wanted to venture over to Prairie Meadows (casino), was a nice trip despite Iowa's cold weather

We joined another family to take our teenager girls someplace fun in the midst of an Iowa winter. I had never stayed at Adventureland Inn, nor had my husband. We checked in on a Saturday evening about 5:30 p.m. LOBBY: The carpet in the main lobby area and main arterial hallways was dreadful looking -- it appeared clean, but was... More

I recently stayed at the Adventureland Inn during a convention at nearby Prarie Meadows. By comparison, it was like staying in a 1970's vintage place compared to a 2012 facility. There were evidently pools inside, because permeating the hallways was a strong chlorine smell. The room wasn't bad, but otherwise it was like taking a trip back into time.
