Beautiful riad inside the old city. 2.5 km walk from Jamaa el Fna. Super quiet, cool plunge pool, huge room, lovely furnishings, greqt value. A godsend after a day of sensory overload in Marrakech. The manager speaks English and French fluently and helped us to book two wonderful tours in 5 minutes (we had spent hours trying to call and... More

We stayed here for two nights, and really enjoyed the welcome from Alain (who collected us at the train station) and also all of the staff who were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We ate one night in the riad, and the cooking was v good. We were given very clear instructions for navigating the medina (the... More

This was my first trip to Marrakesh but I hope not my last. First I must praise the staff at Riad El Faran. They were all fantastic. Nothing was too much bother for them. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and very clean. The roof terrace is lovely. The atrium is where we hung out a lot as well as... More

The hallmark of this riad seems to be hospitality. They sent someone to meet us when we were dropped off at the edge of the medina, and each time we went in or out they would send someone to guide us back to the riad. We were greeted with tea and Moroccan cookies and assisted with our sightseeing plans. The... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Riad el Faran. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and welcoming (we were met at the airport in Marrakech even though we arrived quite late at night around 11pm, and were offered mint tea once we arrived at the Riad). The staff were also very helpful in terms... More

Compared to other Riads in Marrakesh it looks OK at first glance, but when you look a bit closer it is not clean!! There were pieces of rubbish in our bathroom and lots of small ANTS everywhere in the bathroom... no wonder! Spiderweb and dust everywhere too. Found this riad very expensive for what it was. The air condition was... More

The Papyrus Room is decorated in relaxing tones and has a superb bath tub. The decoration of the room is traditional AND tasteful. The air conditionning fights off summer heat without problems. The Hotel itself was surprisingly quiet. The roof top terasse is a nice place to take a drink at sun set. It could easily be turned into a... More

This hotel is truly fantastic!.. We stayed here for 4 nights and the stay could not have been more pleasant...The staff were very helpful and spoke decent English, and the owner of the riad aims to meet your every need. Breakfast is great, and dining in the evening was also a lovely experience... It is about a 15-20 min walk... More

We stayed with my wife for 4 days in this Riad. It is very friendly small place, very nicely decorated. I would not say that the decoration is of extremely high standards, but it is nice and with a very good taste. We stayed in room Bougainvilliers, which we liked very much. The owner, Jean Claude, allowed to cast an... More

Really fab great budget riad. Typical layout across two floors with about 3 double rooms on each. A great central courtyard with cute dipping pool for hot days. Breakfast is served in the courtyard or on the roof terrace which although blisteringly hot doesnt really offer much in the way of views although most riads are the same! The rooms... More
