I stayed in New Avon mid April 2013 for a week and was thoroughly impressed. Centrally located and hidden in busy street of Dar, it's a real gem. “Pleasant stay in city center”

This was a very good choice for a one night stay in Dar Es Salaam. I came from the Stone Town ferry and walked directly to the hotel. Once I got past the hordes of taxi drivers, I found the hotel without a problem after a 15 minute walk through city center. New Avon is very clean and well maintained.... More

The best part is that its located in the heart of the city close to all the amenities especially the shopping areas for all kinds of clothing, jewellery, sports you name it. Really enjoyed the spa service. Friendly and pleasant environment. Would definitely go back.

Went for a spa treatment, must say was very relaxing and soothing. The masseuse was engaging and professional. It is definitely cheaper than most massage parlors in the area. Highly recommend this to someone who is looking to kill a few hours and is in need of relaxation.

Overall i would grade it as a superb hotel..nice service..very helpful staff located in the heart of the ciry centre..stone throw away distance to the ferry terminal for zanzibar, 30 mins drive to the Airport and hardly 5mins walking distance to the railway terminal.
