Separate two-story "huts" spaced around the property, each with a great view of the Serengeti Plains. Rooms are very comfortable. Try to get an upper floor. After dark, there are many security guards to walk you to and from your room, as there sometimes are dangerous animals on the property. Food was very good, not gourmet, but this is Tanzania.

Serengeti Serena Lodge is set high on a hill with vistas of the Serengeti plains. Animals feed close to the lodge. There are 3 rooms per building (1 up and 2 down). Rooms have 1 king, 2 twins, or triples with either 2 or 3 beds. Some rooms are connecting. There is 1 presidential suite. All rooms have robes, table... More

This was a lovely lodge. The bungalows were nicely furnished and the view from the balcony was wonderful. The food and service were very good. There was entertainment in the evening which was worth seeing. All in all a lovely place to stay.

It's not until the last turn that the hotel comes into view. The huts that dot the property are well camouflaged within the forest, so much so, that one is forbidden to move around unescorted after dark. The rooms are a tad small, but the location (one can stare from one's bay window at deer scurrying past)and services more than... More

We spent 3 nights here in the Serengeti Serena Lodge and as at the other lodges we were very pleased with every aspect of the lodge. The architecture was funky and very African and very comfortable amenities. The rooms are comfortable, bathroom beautiful, lounge area very comfortable and inviting, dining room and food were excellent. We would highly recommend it.... More

The Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is a large tourist hotel pearched on a hill overlooking the fabulous veiws of the Serengeti. This is not the place to go if you are looking for contemplation and tranquility. It's main purpose is to service very efficiently the thousands of tourists who pass through their doors every year. That said, the rooms a... More

The hotel was beautifully appointed with comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. We stayed at the lodge for 3 nights and it was the ideal location for our wonderful Serengeti Adventure. Our tour was arranged from South Africa through Sunset Tours and Safaris and they got our holiday brief really spot on with this Lodge. I have a problem with... More

Beautiful grounds, attractive and comfortable room. Excellent food and service. The food was buffet every night. Plenty of stations (eggs for breakfast, pasta/grill at dinner, etc.) and a ton of choices. A nice surprise was the room safes and wi-fi, which we were not expecting. This lodge is located in the middle of the Serengeti National Park. The animals roam... More

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge in March 2013 as part of a small group safari in Tanzania and Kenya. The lodging is unique, consisting of large room/suites in beehive-shaped triplex units, drawing inspiration from Maasai architectural traditions and construction styles. Our room was fitted with comfortable beds, chairs, a writing desk, and... More

We stayed in Serengeti Serena for one night. From the exterior the room seems to be in a hut, once inside the rooms are clean, well mantained and you have internet all over the hotel ( once you signed at the lobby or reception area) which is hard to get in Tanzania. The double room bed was big, but the... More
