I haven't slept in any room here but have attended many seminars and events in this hotel. My stone sculpture friend first took me to this hotel to show his stone craft in the entrance lobby area. They are lovely masterpieces. Last year I visited here to attend handicraft fare for Christmas. Had great time. I believe, it happens every... More

Some staff couldn't do enough for you and others must be employed by relatives because they didn't give a damn. On the terrace bar we were approached by a lady carrying a drinks menu, she would not take our order but said that a colleague would, five minutes later he did, ten minutes after that I went in and asked... This is probably one of the nices hotels in Kathmandu, where there aren't many alternatives. The lobby is quite impressive, but rooms are a bit old and dark. They could clearly benefit from some renovation. The shower drain was clogged and the bathroom was completely flooded. I had to ask twice to have it fixed. Restaurants are fine - the... More

Traveling to Kathmandu with Children the Hyatt was a great place to start. The kids appreciated the pool after a day of touring around! Breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly! Airport transfer was friendly and mad things easy upon arrival! Would highly recommend!

The hotel is clean and well equipped. This is the only decent place in kathmandu which is close to 5 star. The hotel does need an upgrade as rooms have started to look old. Staff is very attentive to the details and staff comfort.

Good value and best option in Kathmandu. After visiting three different hotels in Kathmandu, my family and I chose the Hyatt -- we booked a suite 606 on the Executive floor -- worth every penny! Pro: The service on the Executive floor is phenomenal. The whole floor has only 12 rooms so there is no excess noise wehre as the... More

I've stayed at Hyatt Kathmandu back in 2009 when I finished my Mera Peak trek. I had food poisoning at their club floor but their staff are all so wonderful made me want to come back here again. May 2013 after summiting Island Peak, I'm back to Hyatt Kathmandu. All the staff at Hyatt are well-trained, polite and always make... More

We enjoyed our stay and it was something of an oasis of calm in this noisy, dirty city. however, it's not one of the best of The Hyatt chain and I found it a little anonymous and rather tired. I really did not like the security arrangements for getting in The pool area was a little run down as were... More

Firstly, it's utterly ridiculous for the Hyatt Regency Kathmandu to describe itself as a 5 star luxury hotel. It may be those things by Nepal standards, but certainly not by international standards. If you keep this in the back of your mind you wont be disappointed. It is what it is, average. Further, if this Hyatt Regency establishment really thinks... More

My husband and I stayed several days at the Hyatt Regency in Kathmandu before and after trekking to Everest Base Camp. The hotel is beautiful and quiet with lovely gardens.
