Very clean, comfortable and quiet ... friendly and helpful staff, this was an extremely pleasant stay. A five minute walk to the stupa made the location ideal. Although not what I would recommend for the "authentic" Nepalese experience, the Tibetan influence was very comforting. Great massages in the spa!

I highly recommend Hotel Tibet in Kathmandu. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, clean and the staff is lovely. Hotel Tibet is the perfect sanctuary in Kathmandu and in a wonderful location, just a 10 minute walk to the Stupa, a World Heritage site, where one can coambulate with monks and devotees as people have been doing for centuries.
