I would agree with previous posters that the accommodations are rather tired but it is still very serviceable. A/C is noisy but in our case I didn’t mind as it drowned out the freeway noise. We only stayed at the Sofitel for one night before flying back to the UK the next day so we did find the hotel a great location for the international airport. Taxi to/from BKK was about 400 Baht and it barely took 30 mins. The hotel is linked to a huge shopping mall which is great for last minute shopping.... more
