This place is definitely the best guesthouse that I have ever been to. Great location (withing walking distance to the night market), close to Chiang mai gate, excellent service and delicious breakfast. The staff are very helpful with almost anything that you have asked for. From arranging tour, taxi or tuk tuk, free shuttle from/to the airport, even find our... more

Pearl and the staff are the best! Truly 5 star service! Their driver and car was always on time to take us where we wanted to go. Mostly to Chiang Mai Highlands Golf course. The room was great, always clean and with a really low noise a/c system. We also used their laundry service and found it excellent also. more

We stayed at 3 different hotels during our short trip to Bangkok and Chiangmai, and i like the Castle the most - it felt like living in a friend's house, not a hotel. Pearl and her team provide warm and excellent service and the breakfast is awesome. Need any information? Just ask them and they'd be able to provide you.... more

My fiance Bryn and I stayed here last year and I can't wait to go back again. It's such a pretty little place, lovely rooms and a good location, close to everything. Pearl and her staff were so sweet and helpful, organising all our day trips and recommeding ATV riding, ropes course and different places and also asking us at... more

We had connecting rooms to two adults and two teen/preteen girls. Rooms were clean and fresh, bathroom was always cleaned everyday with new towels. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Pearl is a very good host. She works so hard! The dogs people reported previously were not evident. A little early morning wake up call form the roosters but not... more

This place is so well-run, charming and nicely finished. BUT, we had to check out early after several nights of non-stop barking dogs. There is a puppy farm nearby, and until this gets removed, it really ruins all the good that the lovely owner has going. I feel sorry for her, but can say that the barking was not just... more

Thank you very much for your review. We are so sorry about our neighbor's dog noise issue that made your stay with us (during February 2009) was unsatisfied. Abide by Chiang Mai Provincial Court of Justice, however, all the neighbor dogs have been removed since December 2009. Since then, we are no longer have the noise problem. We know that...

I had the pleasure to stay at The Castle for 6 nights in November 2009. It was my first trip to Chiang Mai and am thankful to have found such a lovely place that I will definitely go back to! The Castle is a boutique hotel near the Old City. It was slightly off the beaten path which made it... more
