Very good location, good value for money, Quiet, friendly people, clean rooms, good Wi-fi. I've stayed there a few times before and will definitely go back there when visiting Chiang Mai again. I wish all guesthouses were like Kavil! keep it up!

We stumbled upon this lovely guesthouse through reading reviews on trip advisor. Perfect location in a quiet soi in the best part of old town. Close to the markets, nightlife and amenities. It is a max 10 min walk to the night bazaar and is a few mins walk to the towns most famous temples and museums. Lily who is... More

This is the bees knees in Chiang Mai. Lillie (?) and her man are that rare thing - Thais with a wicked sense of humour. Really helpful and friendly -as is their midget dog , named 'Cambodian Noodles' in English! Big rooms, fan or A/C or both. Fantastic breakfast - we had a orchard full of fruit with cheese omelette... We stayed here for 7 nights in total. The owners were really friendly, the rooms are amazing value (300 baht for a large double) with views across chiang mai. They were very helpful at organising activities for us and offered discounts on the quoted price plus a free, delicious, breakfast on the morning of the activity. They also hold your... More

My wife and I stayed here for a week and it was great. The owners (a really sweet older couple) were extremely helpful and friendly. The husband even showed us how he taught their adorable little chihuahua how to stand up and put her little paws together to say 'sa wa dee kaa'. The street (soi) is wonderfully quiet at... More

I just stayed in this guesthouse for one night. The only bad thing about my stay was that it wasn't long enough! Rooms were basic but clean. We had fresh towels and the bed linen had a really fresh clean smell, something that I have not experienced in accommodation in that price range. Staff were very friendly and polite. WiFi... More

We stayed in an a/c room for 3 nights. The rooms are clean, quiet, and quite spacious. The location is perfect - a quiet alley in the middle of the old town (very close to Sunday Market, but the noise doesn't pass through). The food served at the place is good and reasonably priced. The loby usually has some atmosphere... More

Bright, basic rooms for dirt cheap--much nicer than places we saw for 2x the price. But the best thing about this place is the owners. They are delightful and sooo helpful--they made planning our time in the city and several treks a breeze. Fruit plate and eggs in the morning were perfect.

They have 3 types of rooms. double small, double big and tripple. The difference between small and big is not that much. The rooms are just a bit smaller and the beds are single ones. Rates: small (fan) 200 tb, big (fan) 250 tb, tripple (fan) 350 tb. With a/c is 100 tb more for every roomtype. We had a... More

This is definitely the best value for money place in Chang Mai. The place is clean, the owners are super friendly and the location is very very central. I paid 200 baht for a twin fan room with ensuite and hot water. All other places are charging approx 150 more for the same facilities. I also had to use the... More
