What a wonderful place to return to after a hot day of sightseeing. The lovely hotel with great rooms and bathrooms was just the place to unwind. From checkin to food to service it was at the top of the game. The first two nights we had the place basically to ourselves which spoiled us when it filled up with... More

I've stayed in several boutique hotels in Chiang Mai over the last few years but 137 Pillars is definitely the best looking of the ones I've been to. The designers have thoughtfully blended the old home-style residential elements with the modern. The restored 18th century home that now houses the library and communal lounge areas are gorgeous. I also really... More

This was my first visit to Chiang Mai and 137 Pillars House definitely was the most remarkable experience I had in this city! I was upgraded to the East Borneo Suite on the 2nd floor. The decoration was filled with the heritage taste. Every details made me feel luxurious yet very cozy. Breakfast selection was not wide but food quality... More

Everyone seems to be saying good things about this place and all I can say is ditto. This hotel really is a hidden gem on the "quieter" side of the river in Chiang Mai. The neighborhood is charming with little restaurants, small boutique stores, and real houses so you don't feel like you're in the middle of the hustle and... More

137 Pillars House Hotel is hard to beat, even in Thailand which has so many fine hotels and resorts. This is an intimate resort just outside of the hustle and bustle of old Chang Mai. Excellent accommodations coupled with great service in a serene environment. The rooms are beautifully furnished in the British Colonial style with sumptuous accoutrements. The restraint... More

Amazing blend of the old and new. Love the setting, the personal service, and ooh the outdoor shower! When you arrive, you are greeted by the well trained and spoken staff, although I stayed in one of the smallest suites, you can feel the quality and the taste of the furnishings. The included breakfast is comprehensive and caters for both... More

So pretty. A design masteradorablepiece. I swam in that ivy pool twice a day rain or shine, took self portrait with a camera with a phone, and still couldn't get enough of it. Every bit of the architecture and decor was thought through, blending the old and the new, in striking colors – that alone was worth the stay. Relatively... More

Not much of the activities, and limited breakfast, some of the staff are really nice but not all of them. If you travel with kids, better pick another one. The only good thing about this hotel is new and clean.

We stayed in this jewel for 3 days and felt at home from the first day onwards. It is pretty easy to make a place exclusive and luxurious but it is harder to make one feel at home immediately. The hotel has the perfect amount of rooms for not to be considered too big and the friendliest and most efficient... More

Once you pass through the entrance you're in another world! The newly constructed suites are beautifully landscaped around the old Lanna house that now forms the restaurant and bar. The breakfast setting on the large wodden deck beside the restaurant is delightful. The piece de resistance, however, is the suites themselves. They are very large, luxurious and impeccably furnished, with... More
