We had high expectations of the hotel having looked at all of the details and pictures on the website. To be honest when we first saw our rooms we were a bit disappointed that they were 'terrace' rooms as we had seen on the website that the terrace rooms looked less good.It was just not as impressive-looking as the more modern... The travel agent introduce this hotel for us.We arrive in the morning of Songkran. The rate offored was Bath1300,we didnt expect it will be a good hotel as most of the hotels in Chiangmai are fully booked or has increased their price. We took 3 Superior rooms on 5th Floor. We are quite suprise when we arrive that the hotel was very... More

We chose this hotel for the first night of our five-day, four-night tour of northern Thailand. We knew that we would be arriving in Chiang Mai quite late in the evening so we did not care to spend much on hotel rooms we will use for only a few hours. The room type we had was called Deluxe Residence but... More

The hotel has 2 wings. We booked an upgrade after we saw the room in the very old, wing (spider webs, mould in the bathroom). The room in the new wing was a typical boring hotel room on the 8th floor. Seems to be a place that is frequented by Chinese tourists. Breakfast was of low quality but offered a... More

I enjoyed my 9 days in Chiang Mai with my spouse. Maninarikorn is located right between the old city and the Night Market area which is great for walkers like we are. The room was spacious and pretty clean. We had hot water, plenty of storage, and good privacy. But it was just a little run down, no elevator, small... More

Room was enormous with comfy furniture and clean. Bed was okay Breakast was slop. Fruit was the only thing that was decent. The location was really good and the night market was just around the corner. The front desk staff were useless and would not book us a second night. She told us to use Expedia

Our last stay in the Maninarakorn was in the budget rooms that surround the main building and although the room was clean, it was very dated and not very comforatble. We do like the hotel but this time we very careful with our booking to ensure it was in the new building. We booked a suite and were pleasantly surprised... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and found the room to be clean and very spacious. It is arranged like an apartment, with a living room near the entry and the bedroom near the back. The hotel has two wings...1 that is older and 1 recently remodeled. Unfortuntely, we were in the older wing, which does not have an elevator.... More

I had some kind of suite with 2 rooms. I had the impression this was like a luxury hotel but it´s rather basic. Good breakfast buffet and very friendly staff. I liked it here although I prefer the location near the gate instead.

2nd time back to Maninarakorn Hotel. Stayed in hotel block deluxe room. Its a good hotel located centrally from all the tourist sights of Chiang Mai such as the Night Bazaar, the various massage joints, Aiwan morning market (about a 10 minute walk), shopping street and street food. Positives: Hotel still does a fair job maintaining cleanliness; has a friendly... More
