Hue Backpackers is not going to set the world alight, but for $6 you don't expect it to. The rooms are clean and decent, the beds are comfortable, the lockers can store everything you need and there's free-wifi and breakfast. The only downside is that the bathroom tended to get pretty bad after a few uses and the room smelt... More

Location was good, easy to meet other travelers, reasonably clean However, the room 'Carnavale' had a really difficult lock to open. You had to really force the key in before turning. I mean, I wouldn't know its gonna be that difficult, so I thought it was not the right key and went down to ask the staff for help. She... More

Hue Backpackers is as you'd expect from a hostel - there was nothing special about it, but nothing bad about it either. We hadn't prebooked and just turned up, this resulted in limited availability on room and bed choice so we'd advise prebooking if you're fussy about sharing a bed together. Room and facilities were clean. Downstairs is a lively... More

We booked 6 beds a few days before. When we arrived early morning, the place was so crowded, there was no place to seat, the staff (they were 3 behind the counter) seemed so busy and couldn't manage the people checking-out and checking-in. They had their bookings mixed up so we had to share 3 double beds in a 14... More

Stayed in a dorm which was a little overpriced and found it quite unpleasant but the bar downstairs had a good vibe and made it a really good place to meet people. Would definitely recommend it for lone travellers but groups might find it easier to stay elsewhere. Got ripped off for some bottled water we didnt want but other... More

Good average hostel, you get what you pay for, fine clean rooms, fairly good service. Has a really good location, close to the lake, old city, citedal, restaurants and the bars. Nothing spectacular, but a good average place to meet other backerpackers. If you stayed at their hostels in Hanoi, dont expect the same. Guides here (atleast when we visisted)... More

Really social place, good vibe, cool staff. Rooms were clean, but a bit small and dark. Bathroom was tiny and dark. However the good communal space makes up for the rooms. Good location, near bars, restaurants, club. Short ride from the Imperial City.

I had booked this hostel from the one in Hanoi as they are part of the same company or network. This one has a different feeling to it, much more chilled out than in Hanoi (it's probably because the city is very different too!). The staff was very nice. Just arriving from a night in a bus and a walk... More

The location is great. Close to all the attractions. The street is nice. The staff is very friendly and open. The bar downstairs plays loud music, but not to late in the evening and the food is pretty nice. But I had some negative experiences there. Thats why my overall rating of ''average''. The dorm is clean and pretty big.... More

I stayed two nights in this hostel and enjoyed my stay. Room was clean, the staff very nice and helpful, the happy hour(s) a good occasion to meet people and make new friends. Breakfast is included in the price, the rest of the food is a bit too expensive to be a hostel.
