I've stayed in hundreds of hostels by now, and I'll happily put up with a whole host of inconveniences to save a few dollars. I wasn't expecting any kind of luxury from Mini Banana, but seriously -- this is the kind of place that only the hostel owner could (pretend to) love (on Trip Advisor). The dorms are sad and... More

This place is a little gem. Whenever I'm in Phnom Penh, I go there. Cheap dorm and rooms, perfect for long stay or just a couple of nights. Mini's is cheap, so don't expect mini-bar and sauna, but do consider this place for atmosphere, friendly staff and making new friends. It's location is perfect! Being Top Banana's little brother, it's... More

I stayed here at the beginning of my stay, and have yet to actually leave Phnom Penh! Mini Banana gave me my introduction to the city; the people, the sites, the foods. The staff are great and I got to know of lot of other locals through them. The owner of Mini Banana is helpful and takes a lot of... More

Mini Banana has a chilled and very welcoming atmosphere. It's small and quite and a great place to be tranquil and just take it easy.. Its a great hangout and a lovely guesthouse. and not to forget very affordable which is just another plus. Love it!!

It may be cheap, but that's all I have in the pros column. It's grimy and sad, the rooms are plain, dark, and stuffy, and the staff are unfriendly and not remotely inclined to be helpful. Don't expect this to be anything like Top Banana down the street - we went and hung out there all the time as opposed... More

Definitely nothing special here but for 6 bucks a night it was worth the price. Room was good size, but a little dingy. Shared bathrooms. Location is good. Refreshments were decently priced but lounge area not that great.

Because I reached late Phnom Penh by bus, I spent my first night in a big hotel close to the bus stop (Kind of place I hate). But the following nights I slept at Mini Banana. I love this "small" guesthouse. Simple and clean shared room under the roof. Well located. Good advice from Emily (If I remember well her name).It... More

We were booked in to stay at the mini banana for one night. However on arriving we decided that we couldn't stay. It had gone wrong from the beginning when an organised pick up didn't arrive. We had the en-suite double room ($14) and our friends had a double room with shared bathroom ($9). Our sheets were filthy, the bath... More

I stayed in the dorm, it was nice with the other guests, but this room is terrible, matrasses on the floor, poor bathroom, really hot, they throw clean blankets and towels just on your bed. The bar is nice, that's it. And they are building around the guesthouse, so no sleeping after 7 o'clock, because of all the noises.

BAD stay one night in the dorm. My mattress was just next to another one. Ok I paid only 4USD. A big cockroach flew on me during the night. No key for my locker. The guy on the reception is only trying that you take the tuktuk of his friend for amazing price. At 7AM in the morning they start... More

Thanks to all the guest that have come and stay at mini banana. We cannot satisfy every customer that come to stay with us. Some people like it, some don't. And, before our customer decided to stay with us, we clearly show them the room which they are going to stay in. If they are not happy or satisfy they... More
