We researched Vientiane hotels to death before we chose this one and found it to be the best, not only on paper but in fact. We stayed here for four nights in early February and really enjoyed it. It's not super luxury but its by no means downscale. It just seemed like a very clean, well-run, comfortable western-style hotel in...

The Best Western Vientiane Hotel is situated in the old town (Mixai) area near the River Mekong, and is just 8 minutes by taxi from Wattay Airport. Our (very large) room was a “Deluxe Queen” and had cable/satellite TV, minibar and tea/coffee-making facility. Bathroom was also large. Our room was clean & had good air conditioning , but our window...

Boutique hotel in central riverside location.Large and clean spacious standard rooms with all mod cons, bath but no shower?Adequate swimming pool and fitness.Friendly, smiling staff as is the norm in Laos.A few yards from riverside with restaurants and food stalls.Breakfast fairly limited choice but adequate in quiet dining area. One negative is the cartel tuktuk drivers outside hotel who charge very high prices...

I stayed one night at Best Western Vientiane in January 2012. The hotel is in a good location of Vientiane, next to the Mekong river, things you will want to see and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel lobby is very nice as well as the bedrooms however the bathrooms are very outdated. There also seems to be an...

Avoid room 211. It is beside the cleaning room. It has no views. During my stay some people were working from 8 am to late at night 11:30 pm. I complained to reception but just got a smile back.

Best Western hotel, formerly known as Tai-Pan hotel, was our choice for a two-night stay in Vientiane (en route to Luang Prabang). This hotel is really good value for money, as it was less than 80 usd per night during the end-of-year high season.
The good:
- Complimentary airport pick-up service was efficient and much appreciated, as our flight was...

Great location, the room was large and comfortable, bathroom ok. The helpfulness of the staff was a bit limited by their soso English but everybody was trying really hard. The buffet style breakfast was alright except for terrible coffee. Not to worry though the cafe just opposite brews the most wonderful, freshly roasted Laotian coffee. Altogether a good choice in...

I stayed for only 1 night. The shower was not working, the room was dingy and found red ants all over the bathroom. Breakfast was nice and friendly. I would choose a different hotel since this is a lot more than others in the area.

It was a good nights stay I had here. Not bad price, good location, very good staff, reasonably priced restaurant with decent food, good room.
No complaints at all and would happily go back.
