We booked two rooms here for three days. The price was right -- about $25 per night per room. Rooms included a fridge and a TV, and were clean and bright. One room had a decent view while the other room looked out onto a cement wall a foot away. One bathroom had an excellent water heater, while the other... More

My wife and me stayed four nights in Vayakorn Guesthouse. When we arrived in the evening, after a 12 hour bus trip from Luang Prabang, the reception awaited me with the reservation outstretched in his hand. A pleasuere because in another hotel, where I made a reservation nobody knew anything.I Ihad asked for a room with a view. The manager... More

just a few minutes from the mekong riverside in the city of vientiane! the rooms are well equipped, even with hot water (which you not always can take for granted in laos) the staff is very friendly and helpful, most of them are young man who study at the university and they´re eager to improve their english! We booked Vayakorn Inn. They misread our reservation and ended up we had to split to stay in two different places. So they brought me here. They then told me breakfast is up to 9am. When I check out, they said I have to pay for breakfast. I didn't argue and I also won't come here again. More

All around great, but watch out for the slippery floors. The wood is so highly polished, you can slip. More

We have stayed at the Vayakorn Guesthouse three times now, and it has always been good. We have always had rooms at the front as well, which helps. The rooms overlooking the back maybe okay, but most side rooms have windows that face neighbouring buildings (closely). Service has always been good, and an evening beer on the front varanda is... We stayed for days at the Vayakorn Guesthouse in October 2011 and had a very good time there. The receptionists are all friendly and the location is great: very central but not on a noisy main street. We did all the sightseeing by walking – no problem, because everything is near. Bicycles are a good option, too. We always had... More

Just returned from 4 night stay at Vayakorn, I didnt want to stay in a hostel or blow the budget so settled for my single room at 19 dollars a night. As a single female traveller I felt safe and the staff were very friendly, especially Dee who likes to practise his English and makes an effort. Room: More like... More

This is a great little place! I would definitely stay here again. The staff is pleasant, helpful and speak good English. Meals-wise, they only have breakfast, but what a satisfying, American-style breakfast it is - with baguette, butter and jam, eggs cooked in style of choice, bacon, sausage, fruits, coffee/tea, orange juice. There is free wifi in the lobby. There... More
