it's easy to get to the Blue Mosque and take tram. with the convenient transportation, it's easy to hop on the boat and try different ways to visit Istanbul. After a tiring day of walking, you can enjoy the good shower.

Arrived to a really friendly receptionist at the hotel, was taken to the suites that were located a 5 minute walk away. I had booked the rooftop terrace with jacuzzi, and was not let down. A charming large room, decorated in the Ottoman style, large jacuzzi in the corner and a large terrace with amazing views over the Bosphorus. Cleaners are really friendly and come daily, there is a fridge and kettle. Bathroom has a large shower (enough for 2) but not if you are very tall, and there is a hairdryer in the bathroom drawers. A large flatscreen TV on the wall, free WiFi, and they even supply you with adaptor plugs, pen and paper. I will definitely be returning soon. The only negative is that there is no lift, and its up 4 flights of stairs, so not for the infirm.

I spent two nights at this wonderful hotel for our annual visit in Istanbul. The room is big, I fit smoothly 2 adults and 2 children. The room has one bed for 2 people and 2 beds for 1 person, towels and slippers . Coffee, tea and water are free. Cleaning is daily. There has hamam, but we did not use. Breakfast is taken in the main building and is very varied. The staff is always smiling and helpful. Next year we will elect the hotel.

Magnificent stay for 8 days in the 4th floor suite! The hammam/sauna in the building and the hydromasaz in the room ... just made it perfect. Very close to all the big attractions of the city. Very friendly, and always smiley stuff! The breakfast (in the main building, 5 min away) for every taste and culture!

Emine Sultan Hotel Istanbul We booked the suite on the 4th floor. It was a spacious room with separate bathroom, a Jacuzzi and a fine balcony overlooking the sea. In the refrigerator there was water, on the refrigerator a water cooker and plenty coffee and tea. On arrival we were welcomed by Muhammet GÖGER, a very friendly person who writes the word hospitality in capitals. Excellent location near the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi palace and all the highlights that makes Sulthanamet worth visiting. The breakfast is served in the hotel on the 4th floor where you have a wonderful view. The quality of the breakfast is excellent. Conclusion: nice hotel, friendly people, excellent in terms of price and quality.

We've booked the room in the main building, but they offered us to move in suits for the same price while check in. There are only for suits in this building and hummum which is really pleasant! Our room was large, with jacuzzy and terrace. Everything was great, but it was always very damp in the bathroom, it's better to do a ventilation there. Breaлfasts were delicious on a terrace in the main building. It takes 5 minutes walk to the main building, which is not a problem at all. The stuff is really nice and hospitable. Especially Dogan, his shifts were when we checked in and checked out and he did everything to make it comfortable for us. Thank you!

If the Emine Sultan hotel was JUST the main property (and not the suites), I would have given it a higher rating. We stayed there for three nights and had a great stay. The young guy and young woman who work the front desk were helpful and warm. Our email exchanges before our stay were prompt and attentive. Upon arrival, we were forewarned by our TripAdvisor community that the room would be small. So, we were prepared for that but the room was nicer than we had imagined. They are decorated in way that is welcoming and comfortable. We stayed on the 1st floor and enjoyed it! AND the breakfast is delicious. It's especially beautiful to eat on the top floor with a view of the city. The benefit of staying at Emine over other nearby hotels is that they have an upper level room that is covered to protect from the cold in winter. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to go back there after leaving Istanbul for a couple of days and spring for a suite...but that's when things got bad. The BAD Upon arrival, we were told that our room was at the OTHER location. I had read about this on TripAdvisor and forgot to request a room at the main hotel. It's a bit of a distance and I didn't like the idea of walking that far for breakfast. But we braved it and made our way over to the 'suites' in a taxi that the hotel arranged which was really nice of them. We were soooo disappointed when we walked into our room. The bathroom stank so bad- it was as if somebody had used a dirty, moldy mop all over the floors and walls and then closed the door and turned the heat up. Then, we opened the closet and there was a pair of men's pants crumpled on the shelf. The room was huge and the bed was one of those cool round beds. It looks great in the pictures. But when you're there, it's more like a room by the hour gone bad. So, we walked back downstairs, called the main hotel and said we didn't want to stay there and asked if they had any other rooms. We had to make our own way back (no more taxi provided by the hotel) with numerous bags. But at least they said they had a room similar to the one we stayed in during our first trip. And that's when things got ugly... The UGLY Upon our return, the front desk guy was annoyed with us. I get it. It's annoying when people want to change rooms. But, this is the hotel industry and that's part of the business. So, when I asked about the rate of the new room, he replied that we would have to pay the same amount as the suite. I responded "I don't think we should pay $20 more than we paid three nights ago for the same room. You can't charge us the same price as the suite for a much smaller room." He responded "I can and you will pay it." Whaaaat? After I explained to him how ludicrous it was, he offered for us to stay in the room and they would tell us the rate the following morning. Ummm really? Okay, so the conversation went from there and just got worse. Finally, I said we didn't want any room and that we were leaving. His response? "Whether you stay or don't stay, I will charge you for the first night bc of your last-minute cancellation." When I explained that we weren't cancelling, that we were leaving bc the rooms we were offered were unacceptable, he wouldn't let it go. We left. Luckily, they must have come to their senses bc I was not in fact charged. I think someone realized it would be illegal to charge my cc without my authorization. So I appreciate and am very grateful that it ended with some level professionalism! Moral of the story: (1) If you want to stay at Emine, confirm that your room is in the main building. Staying there is worth it! Despite my poor rating, the main location is great. I just had to average out the two buildings. (2) Do NOT stay in the suites. Soooooo not worth it. You pay more and get less. Too many other choices around. (3) Don't back down if someone is trying to bully you into paying for something that you don't want.

We were transferred to one of the suits after a problem at the Emine Sultan Hotel and we LOVED IT! Spacious, beautifully decorated, great shower, quiet, comfortable beds.....everything that we needed for a comfortable 8 days in Istanbul. There are only four suites in this building and you have to walk to the hotel for breakfast (5 minute walk...no problem with dogs like another reviewer stated, and it is an easy 5 min walk) which we did not mind at all. Also, there is usually no staff at the suites....if you have a question you need to call the hotel. If they are full there may be someone at the desk though. It is also in a great area..... fairly quiet street (besides the garbage collectors which came at random times.....once at 3am!) and lots of restaurants around. Also, close to the Blue Mosque, Top Kapi, Hagia Sophia. An easy walk to all of those plus the tram to get to further places. We also appreciated the free airport transfer and the deal they offered through trip advisor. Would definitely stay here again!

The facility is absolutely wonderful--spacious, clean, and very modern. The problem is its separation from the main hotel. To get here from the main hotel (where the meals are served), one must walk through unlit narrow streets with no sidewalks and past vacant buildings and ferule dogs. I am guessing the neighborhood will gentrify and this will all improve. Until such time, I suggest either stay in the main hotel (smaller room), or be willing to put up with a mildly inconvenient 8 minute walk to get to the fabulous suite. Once at the suite, one can walk the opposite direction and you are already in a well established, fully hotel-ified neighborhood just a short distance to all the Sultanhamet neighborhood has to offer.
