This hotel really has the local spirit! Its interior looks like a mix of old Turkish style with old Turkish-European...whatever it means. The location is the best you can get in Istanbul - 100 metres from the very middle of the Old Centre. Nice touristic area around with good restaurants and main historical attractions. The staff is very friendly and... More

We have spent one night at this hotel, ideally located close to the Blue Mosk, the Grand Baazar, etc. Very different, nicely decorated, very original. And most of it, the staff is just amazing. Go and see "Mike", the owner of the hotel and he will receive you in his room, which looks like the back of a carpet store,... More

The Kybele Hotel is a real typpical Turkish Hotel, it's situated near to the Aya Sofia, The Sultanhamet and theTopkapi Palace. It's situated in a quiet street. It also has a Restaurant with good food. The staff is Very Friendly and helpful. The whole hotel is full with little Turkish Lamps, which creates a very nice athmosphere. It's really a... More

You'll never find a nicer hotel in Istanbul. Apart from the convenience of it's locality, being within walking distance to the major historical attractions, the staff are friendly and extremely helpful, the food is the best, the rooms are comfortable, clean and interestingly decorated with antique furnishings. The eclectic roof patio is the place to rest in quiet tranquility or... More

Hotel Kybele is not where you want to stay if you want an anonymous, modern, chain-hotel type of lodging, a hotel that has no hint of the rich, gritty, beautiful, real, historical jewel of a city that is Istanbul. From the moment you set foot in the colorful and lively hotel you KNOW you are in Istanbul. The walls in... More

Once we arrived in the hotel about 9am, becauss check out time there is 11am, then we must wait till room is ready. Before we get a room, we were walking around old city, then we come back about 11am. I thought we will get a room, but then we have to wait till we get a room about 2pm.... More

I have bee using this hotel for the last six years – when on to Europe on my way, passing through, from elsewhere – and it has to be one of the best little gems of a "boutique" hotel in the old part of Sultanahmet – near to the magnificent Aya Sophia and Blue Mosques – that Istanbul can offer...... I was in Istanbul recently with my fiancée, and we had a GREAT time. It was in an absolutely perfect location, very short walks to Topkapi Square, Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque and literally on the same block as the Cistern. Unbelievably quirky and quaint...room was a "small double" and was just fine since we really only slept there. All rooms,... More
