This is a very strange Starwood hotel, but not all bad-strange. The floorplan is unique, to say the least; and the rooms are not what you will see anywhere else in a W-chain hotel. You are completely right about W Istanbul being unique. The buildings were built in the 1870s as an annex to the Dolmabahce Palace, located across the street. They are the Akaretler Row Houses and were where the palace staff lived. Six years ago, the entire area was redeveloped and the W Istanbul is located in the center....

Excelent room, modern decoration , the service not so good, excelent bar ful of life around midnight. The location isn't the best because of the trafic. If you go sightseing or shoping it may be a problem to go to your room during the day .
