You don't have to be pretentious! It's a nice place, friendly, in a good position. From my room I could see the Dome of the Rock. Price was cheap and bathroom was clean. I had a good time there. We were six and no one experienced bad things. The owner was very friendly

The staff is very helpful and friendly, the location is the best! The hostel uses blankets and sheets, the room was very dusty, and I sneezed the whole night. The floor in the shower was rusty and didn't look inviting. But for this price in the center, it is okay.

These were some of the friendliest guys you can imagine. Very helpful and very kind. THe room was simple, but it was reasonably clean. The location is very very convenient as well.For what you pay - good deal.

Stay here only for the location. Hostel lacks atmosphere and the facilities are not the best. There is a nice view from the roof, but that's about it! Clientele was also an odd mix, do not recommend for the independent/solo traveller!!

Exceptionaly well placed, clean, bright and warm atmosphere. You´ll find precious informations on both (brothers) Assem and Noor. No noise, no loud TV, free internet and magical view from the roof. Even in 2012 summer I found their place a fresh hostel. I´ll sure come back. I never had such a hotel in the Old City. (Ignasi Peres, Spain)

I didn't see the higher-priced rooms. But the dorm is dank and dreary. The outlets do not work. The sheets are from the 19th century. It's cramped and musty.
