As the title of the review says: excellent accommodation and good location. The rooms are good, the ambiance of the hotel excellent (stone-walled corridors and various religious artefacts), good and varied food, good location within city walls and within easy walking distance of Holy Sepulcre and Via Dolorosa etc.

A very nice hotel. A beautiful 19th century building which has been tastefully converted into a hotel. Well situated within the walls of the Old City and providing a level of comfort and service at an affordable price. Our room was spacious and clean, the food was varied and tasty and the staff were extremely accommodating. Highly recommended.

Stayed for four nights - a lovely big room with a superb view. Good and abundant food. Very quiet and very attentive staff. Excellent courtyard. It's the second time I have visited and I'm sure I'llbe back.

I just loved this hotsel. Our shared taxi dropped us at New Gate, the entrance to the old city and it was 2 minutes walk toi our wonderful hotel. It was like stepping back into the olden days, just like a palace, beautiful furn iture and pictures and artwork ev erywhere...the breakfast was excellent and the buffet dinner at 50... More

Decor etc similar to the older style Spanish paradores. Location within the walls of the old city is ideal for walking to many of the main sites and around the walls. Rooms vary but of good size and equipment. New mattresses in our room were too firm for comfort - a common problem in many hotels. Food was quite varied... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and couldn't fault anything. The room was on the first floor overlooking the courtyard. The hotel is a mix of the old and the new. Beautiful old paintings and the original building is beautiful. Our room a double was spacious and comfortable and beautiful and clean. The food was varied and if the restaurant wasn't... More

My son and I stayed here for 1 night. It was in an excellent location and we had a twin room on the gound floor. Quite a basic room, but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our room looked out onto the hotels courtyard which abutted the old city wall. A lovely quiet area to sit and... More

I stayed again at this hotel together with my father, and we both loved our stay here. The staff was very helpful and hospitable and the room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. It is absolutely unbelievable to be so close (only minutes of walk) to the Church if the Holy Sepulchre, the Western Wall and all other historical attractions,... More

I wrote a scathing review of this hotel which Trip advisor posted ,to be fair the management saw fit ( I suspect having read the review )to refund all monies we spent . This went along way to ameliorate the situation as previously described. Thanks Trip Advisor .
