My family and I stayed for two nights in the centre of Jerusalem Old City before moving to the Abraham Hostel only because they were fully booked for the remainder of our stay. The Lutheran Guest House is clean, comfortable, and has a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast is great, and the location unbeatable. It has an old computer that people... More

When you see it from the outside - in the busy old city, you have no idea of what is inside. A quiet oasis, wonderful rooms and a lovely courtyard overlooking the old city. We were two families together here during easter, and it was great we could walk back here easily after busy days in Jerusalem. A little walking... More

The Lutheran Guest house is a lovely, quiet retreat - a very good choice! The courtyard garden is a relaxing place to unwind or have a picnic supper. A few minor quibbles - the wifi is iffy, and there's no way to have a cup of tea in the evening - but no place is perfect. This is close.

a short walk ( no cars) from Jaffa Gate, on stone roads is the Lutheran Guest house, comfortable, clean, quiet and right in the Old City. The beautiful courtyard for picnics from the Suq and the roof top terrace with views of the City were wonderful. Try the Armenian Tavern nearby for superb atmosphere. I ordered the Khaghoghi twice, was... More

Situated on a quiet street in the heart of the Old City, the Lutheran guesthouse provides comfortable, clean rooms, friendly service, and attractive public areas, including lovely views from the upper terrace. Ample breakfasts are taken overlooking the Old City. The guesthouse represents very good value for the quality of facilities and location. Also good that you are supporting the... More

We stayed in jerusalem for just 1 night on as we were based in Madaba Jordan. We wanted to see as much as we could so decided on a hotel in the old city. We only had our day pack and no heavy bags, so althouigh there were a few steps to negotiate on our way from the Damascus Gate... More

This place is nice. Sparkly pristine (newly refurbished?) rooms, a beautiful tranquil courtyard with snack and (alcoholic) drinks bar, courteous staff, free internet-ready computer, + a rooftop patio with great views across the city. Good location, right in the heart of the Old City. Not the cheapest, but better value than other comparable places in the Old City. One slight... More

We found this to be an inexpensive alternative to the more costly lodging choices in Jerusalem. At $110, it was good choice for our one night while passing through. On the plus side, the room was clean and comfortable. On the down side, it was small and stark. For what it is, its fine. The breakfast was adequate. There is... More

This is a great place to stay. We were on a tight budget and weren't quite sure what to expect but we absolutely loved it and would highly recommend staying there. The rooms are small but extremely clean. The beds were cozy and comfortable. I had trouble adjusting to the tiny shower and nearly flooded the room the first time... More

The old building is very nice and well furnished for guests who care much about value for money. Although rooms are not so big you will be completely repaid by the charme and the old fashioned pioneer atmosphere of the common areas and the court. Just a detail that matters in such a great place that I would absolutely recommend... More
