Mutrah hotel truly lives up to its reputation as the best budget hotel in Muscat. It is central to the old Muscat area - so it's easy to travel from there. The staff & service at this hotel is exceptional. Bernard the manager was so welcoming, helpful & accommodating to all of our needs. Our room & bed was large & comfortable. I liked this place. It is dated but in a charming way, it's not trying to hide it or fob you off. Location is excellent for accessing Mutrah, Muscat and Ruwi. “Good value, Great location”

Ok, the building is quite dated, however if you're looking for a clean and spacious base while off exploring beautiful Muscat then this is the right place. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was decent.

In the 1st 2 days, staff was nice to us. Then, we had to interact with much less professional colleagues. Once, they called us at nearly midnight to say the card was not working. Room is spacious. Mr. Siddique, the Omani reception,has been helpful with information and converses well in English. The attendants during breakfast are freindly, rather zealous. Like EVERYONE has written, wonderful and helpful staff. Totally concerned with your comfort and that you have a good visit.
