This was my first visit to Bogota and the hotel was perfect - location, room and amenities (like complimentary WiFi), helpful and courteous staff and the Colonial architecture. Hotel de la Opera is a beautiful old house with beautiful views of the center of Bogota. The location is ideal, near the plaza de armas, and the street has a lot of security since it is behind important government buildings. Not much traffic on the street for the same reason. We stayed here in December 2010 and absolutely loved it. The location of the hotel is great, rooms spcaious and cleen, spa small but really nice. Breakfast was super and offered fruit, fresh bakery stuff, and great omelets. Really helpful staff as well. More
