Stayed here for 5 nights on a business tour. Good location in the city. Rooms very clean, great gym, professional and efficient staff at the front desk. Very safe. As a female traveller to the city never felt threatened for once. Great place however the food can be improved upon and the lack of variety in food becomes an inconvenience... More

My second visit to this hotel in a month... Rooms are spacious and fitout is complete...huge bed enough for 3 or 4... all still quite new so all is still working fine... Room amenities are 3 star for a 4-5 star hotel and could be better... staff are friendly and smiling but not highly trained... so keep smiling and keep... More

In summary: this is one of the top one or two places to stay in Port Moresby if you are a business traveller who cares about safety. As people keep commenting here, the Grand Papua is not cheap - but Port Moresby is a town where people value their security and the GP does that very well. It hasn't had... More

Some would say it is impossible to find true five star luxury anywhere in PNG , but alongside the Airways the Grand Papua makes a damn good effort at it , and has the advantage that it is right in the heart of he CBD. The menu ,especially at lunchtime , is rather limited but the quality of the food... More

Popular hotel with local expat community and aid workers. New and excellent facilities, including excellent gym and spa. Executive club that is comfortable for breakfast and relaxing. Good restaurant, with limited menu, but excellent buffet. Staff keen but a little Faulty Towers like. This was my fourth stay and they always have something on the room service menu that is... More

Stayed here a few times while the opening specials were on, I believe the price is astronomical now, even by POM prices. Anyway, I think this place is going to look pretty tired pretty quick, the fit and finish in the rooms has that not built to last feel about it. Plus somebody should have told the architect water runs... More

I knoww that expatried-style hotel in emerging locations are usually expensive but this one is a real rip-off: ended paying over $600 for room only (no bakfast, no internet, no amenities). Quality is ok, rooms are standard, service is still fine-tunning, proce is crazy.
