“Le Bugs Galore and 80s decor!”

You stay here because you want somewhere cheap to shack in an otherwise expensive city (Noumea). The hotel is a timewarp from the 1980's, the room decor - pinky coloured carpet a bay window bathroom with big curtains is all class. The bathroom curtains were full of cobwebs and dead bugs. “Great value hotel in the best part of Noumea”

Huge 45 square metre room with large balcony affording pool and lagoon views. The ensuite has a huge round bath to soak in which was lovely. “The Parc! Why would you stay there?”

I do not write often reviews, but I was staying at the Park, in Noumea and frankly I felt I had made the biggest mistake to stay there. Most staff are not particularly caring and thoughtful. “Great hotel, ideally situated in Noumea, New Caledonia.”

My wife and I had a 10-day stayover in New Caledonia this month. Le Parc Hotel with a 3-star rating, delivered a 5-star service. Disappointing stay. Room was spacious - has heaps of potential, but generally most staff don't seem to care about paying customers and their attitude suggests they in fact consider guests a nuisance. I try not to be critical of hotels, but the smell in our room prompts me to write this. The problem is with having carpet in a tropical location - it doesn't work and creates a smelly and unpleasant environment. We've stayed in Le Parc over Christmas 2012. Bus transfer from the International Airport worked fine without a booking (but a bookings is recommended).
