We stayed in 2 bedroom unit overlooking the pool. The unit was a decent size and had all the facilities we could expect (TV, kitchen etc). Each room had a ceiling fan and they're pretty effective - although these kinds of fans are, in my experience, prone to vibrate and make noises. On balance I think the management made a... More

I would definitely go back to Vanuatu again just to stay at Poppy's! We stayed for 7 nights, lovely place, friendly staff, beautiful lagoon, really yummy and enjoyable food, well appointed rooms and centrally located only a 15min walk into Port Vila (the fresh food markets were a hit with us - fresh tropical fruit every day). We stayed in... More

I have read the other reviews at Poppy's and was quite shocked. We loved Poppys, the people the rooms (so what if you have to walk up or down stairs) the food was great (who cares if its slow, your on holiday) you are on Island time and its great, no rushing around. We went one step further at Poppys... More

Phones in the resort don't work, if you want room service you have to walk down a huge flight of stairs. If you order breakfast be prepared to wait a long time and your food not properly cooked. No privacy in the rooms at all. No aircon I don't recommend staying here in the middle of summer. Tribe of men... More

We thank all our guests for taking the time to post reviews whatever they contain. Given that the review contained negative comments we think appropriate that we take the time to respond. 1. We have checked the phones in all rooms and found them to be in proper working order. 2. As soon as this guest made his complaint about... More

We arrived for a 3 day stay just after New Years after having been in another nearby hotel resort for the previous 5 days. Our first impressions were very rollercoaster. The trip into Poppys resort is surrounded passes near to some quite run-down shanty-towns, and the access road is in an appalling state as well. Our first impressions were ones... More

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at Poppy's on the Lagoon. We were assigned unit # 26 which is at the very end of the Lagoon View Studio block and next to the Melanesian Tour Bus premises. I totally concur with Lyrebird6 comments regarding the noise from the tour buses...it was very intrusive and also the diesel... More

To all our lovely and supportive guests who have stayed or who intend to stay at Poppys on the Lagoon, please be assured we have spoken to Ray and Glenda of Melanesian Tours and asked them to stop driving their buses so close to the Studios section of the resort. As past guests will know, Ray and Glenda actually live... More

Shared a two bedroom villa with my 2 daughters. Beautifully decorated with flowers on arrival. The whole place was clean from top to bottom and nothing was ever too much bother for staff. Gary was helpful in regard to highlights with some of the activities we had planned and our tour guide Sam kept us informed and entertained. This was... More

Nice little compact resort - more suitable for small families but then only stay down the front in the beachfront villas. Melanesian Tour Bus site is next door on the upper level (Lagoon View Studios)and there's continual noise from buses coming and going especially early in the morning for the early morning flights. Lovely grounds and the rooms are neat... More

This was our second trip to Poppy's - the first being as a newly married couple and the second as a family group (parents, grandparents and a young child). We stayed in a beachfront three bedroom villa and can't recommend it enough. The rooms are well appointed, clean and thoroughly serviced daily. Having kitchen facilities allowed us to cook meals... Great resort with beautiful surroundings. Gary was very helpful. Staff were lovely and friendly. Our room was clean and tidy and serviced every day. Cafe food was good and reasonable price - would also recomend burger with the lot - remember you are in Vanuatu and on island time though - which is half the experience. Perfect resort for a... More
