Considering that there are not many hotels in Myanmar, I would recommend Panda Hotel. It may not be new but its clean and well maintained. The 'Panda' must have been a first class address in old socialist days and- it still has the 'charm' of that period. Don't exspect too much. But: The personal is very helpfull and friendly and the rooms are clean.

definitely not one of the better mid-range places i've stayed, but for yangon it fit the bill. good buffet breakfast. far from centre of town. friendly and reliable taxi drivers always waiting outside. i had a terrible headache and staff at front desk gave me some aspirin from her purse, which was much appreciated.

This hotel is clean and has hot water but the decor is tired and you would only stay here for one night if everywhere else in Yangon were full. it's a bit too far from downtown Yangon to be convenient to walk to.
