We stayed at the Winner Inn in May 2012. The hotel is basic and the rooms drab but clean and the staff were cheerful and helpful. The room had a small fridge, tv and aircon that was quiet. The hotel is in a good location as it is within walking distance of restaurants and the pagoda. Avoid the hotel restaurant... More

Very friendly hotel in a quiet location. Overpriced like most mid range Yangon hotels and in need of a refurbishment, BUT everything functioned. Our cheaper room had the quietest aircon I have found. There was a small fridge, hot shower, limited TV, kettle, internet access and provision to minimise the effect of many power cuts all over Myanmar. We stayed... More

Lonely Planet rave about it they call it 'posh backpackers' - quiet with lovely communal areas. Really? Some confusion. It was quiet but labarithyne corridors. felt very claustraphobic. Dont know where we would have 'flopped down' even if we'd had the time. Our room at the back smelled mildewy. A/C only worked by precarious means. Pillows abysmal. Dining/breakfastroom, small over... for 60 usd I would expect a little bit more. the breakfast is very basic, nescafe and 2 slices of toast is not really much, the location is not too bad but the bathroom is old, the beds are not really new and the tv set features about 5 channels, with only 2 of them in english. the laundry service... Yangon is entering the 21st century rapidly. With it comes overpriced accommodations and not bad travel experiences. Here is a place that is basic, well located, friendly staff and affordable. Internet, cable TV with CNN, bottled water, a hot shower...hey this is Myanmar. Breakfast was a bit sparse; it would be great to have brewed coffee! A decent restaurant almost... More

Winner Inn is located at a quiet residential area but within 15 min walk to Shwedagon Paya and major tourist street. Room is clean and basic. Deco of the room is dated but definitely clean. Reliable internet and electricity. Polite and helpful hotel staff. The hotel offers basic breakfast. Laundry rate is a bit expensive and so as the room... More

Located near the diplomatic and high end homes of Inya Road, this little hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable. Taxis are a-plenty outside. Nearby are some of the better restaurants like Inya 1, Sabai, Sakura Residences Cafe..... Good helpful staff and decent breakfast!

Good value for the price. Rooms clean & serviced daily. Breakfast provided but very basic. Very close (15 min walk) to Shwedagon Paya. Airport pick up for a fee. Internet & electricity very reliable. Would recommend & stay here again!

Located in a residential street, close to many embassies, the hotel has good clean rooms. The only issue was the room rate. Reservation done with one rate, and when was the time to pay, another rate 16% increase. Happened to everyone that week (first of January) Also confirm you room. They use a small papers system for reservations, so may... More

Walkable (15 min) to Shwedagon Pagoda. Room clean with working wifi, for $60 it is still good value (considering hotel price in Myanmar doubles every few months). Reception girls on the first encounter can be warmer, the others are very nice.
