We are in the middle of 3 nights at Le Riad. We are from Canada and it's our first time to Egypt. Overall, Egypt has been an amazing experience so far, and we have barely started exploring the rest of the country. The people are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful in every way possible everywhere we have been so far.... More

We are Australians who have just returned from touring Egypt - While visiting the Islamic part of Cairo our guide kindly showed us this wonderful boutique style hotel. WOW - every room has a different theme - it really is very unique and special - each room is a piece of art in itself. I only wish we had stayed... More

We spent six wonderful days exploring the old walled city with Le Riad as the ideal base. The hotel itself has been attractively desisned and furnished; the tea lounge and roof terrace are both great places to enjoy breakfast and the view from our balcony was an endless source of interest. The staff could not be more helfpful and welcoming.... More

The hotel is on the main street running from the old city walls to Khan el Khalili, these being only 5 minutes' walk away in opposite directions. Very close to the historic mosques and other old buildings of Islamic Cairo. We were slightly worried that, although our room was on the 5th floor and at the side of the hotel,... More

Once you have found it, which can be a problem, as it is in the pedestrianised heart of old Cairo, you have found a haven of comfort.the decoration is adventurous and elegant, the rooms comfortable and clean.the food is not so exciting, better to east on the street.

Quite the experience at Le Riad in Cairo. Unfortunately, we only stayed there one night but what a beautiful place to stay. The location is wonderful; we enjoyed the morning sun on the rooftop while enjoying breakfast and then experiencing the markets in the evenings during a night time stroll. The rooms (yes multiple) were spacious complete with a seating... More

This boutique hotel is like an oasis in the midst of a city suffused with heavy traffic, heat and dust; and true to its name, it is very charming with carefully designed interiors straight out of a glossy magazine. It has in fact been featured in at least one glossy travel mag placed on each room’s coffee table! Located in... More

The upside: Le Riad is absolutely stunning. BTW, it is owned by the same folks who own the Talisman, where I stayed at the beginning of my Egyptian adventure. Le Riad has outdone themselves in their decor. My room (#7) was HUGE; it started with a sitting room with large flat screen TV, an office with small balcony walkout, including... More

Very charming hotel in the center of Cairo in the "Islamic" part. Rooms are stylish, elegant, clean, and spacious. Staff is very nice and sweet. We even got en little welcome/ Xmas present with my husband. The library on the top of the hotel on the roof gives a great view on the surroundings.
