This is the dirtiest five star hotel I have ever stayed in! Everything outdoors is amazing; the garden, the pool and the gym. The rooms however are dusty and cleaned carelessly! The bathrooms are not cleaned regularly by the housekeeping staff!! Imagine I had to call them back several times after they have cleaned the room to do the toilet... More

What I like about the Marriott is that they have a great outdoor restaurant and terrace where you can sit in the evening and have pizza’s or more sophisticated things to eat. Once inside the hotel compound, you immediately relax after the horrible traffic and usual noise of downtown Cairo. Don't forget to add tax etc +25% to the room... More

After long time i visited again The Marriott hotel in Cairo. +++ What i have to say is that i came across with a big improvement in the reception personnel since my last time. i was amazed to deal with very kind people, highly skilled trying to assist on choosing the best possible room according to my needs, they were... This is probably my favourite hotel in Cairo, great service, brilliant gym and pool and right in the centre of a nice area of Cairo where you feel safe in walking around outside the hotel. The only issue i had with it was that the tennis was so expensive, 45 euro for two hours on a slanty court with rent... More

luxurious hotel, top hospitality. The garden cafe and restaurant are very nice place for dining and morning coffee. The rooms have good view of the Nile or the hotel gardens. As for conferencing, the hotel is spacious enough for several meeting rooms

This is my fourth time at this hotel. It is a central location to explore different parts of Cairo, also very secure. The central building is an old palace where you feel Royal just walking to reception. Rooms are located in two separate tower blocks. Wonderful gardens and green spaces for relaxing, dining or people watching. The pool is large... More

The Royal Palace Al Gezira was built in 1869 as a guest palace for the Suez Canal inauguration and was home to Empress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III. In 1970 it was taken over by the Marriott Corporation who restored the palace updating everything. Marriott built two high rises on either side of the original palace for the guest rooms... More

Stayed here from 2 April 2013 for 4 nights with my husband who is Egyptian. Wanted to stay in Zamalek and as I am Marriott Silver Elite member, chose this hotel. Wasn't disappointed. Decor is exquisite and rooms clean and comfortable. Dinner on our second night in Saraya Gallery was gorgeous but surprisingly akin to top London prices. That said... More

We were visiting our daughter, who is living for a year in Cairo. Because her flat is in Zamalek, we looked for hotels close to her and soon settled on the Marriott. What a beautiful hotel! We had an upper floor room overlooking the Nile. The room was clean, quiet (maybe because the hotel seemed at least half empty?) Breakfast... More

As delineated by others, this is a very large hotel with two towers that are each larger than most hotels and a huge shopping/restaurant complex in between with gardens and a large central pool complex. We stayed here for four nights and found the experience pleasant. However, since we live in Morocco and travel in the Middle East/North Africa region... More
