well, unfortunately I didn’t have the privilege to stay in the Karvin hotel but I booked for couple of my friend there last year and they really enjoyed it there a lot and most of their comments were the friendly and well-mannered staff through very secure surroundings and neighborhood . It’s not a fancy view on the Nile or overlooking... more

I have a couple of days to spend in Cairo and was referred to the Karvin Hotel by my travel agent. From arrival at the airport, the service was friendly, helpful and supportive. I thought that this is a nice friendly guy, but when I reached the hotel and stayed a couple of days, I realise that all staff members... more

I only ate here so cant comment on the hotel itself! The Indian Restaurant is small and reasonably furnished (not lavis) but it is clean and the service good, but the wom factor comes with the food! Its fantastic, authentic and excellent value for money. Mr Oberoi is on hand (he is a pukka Indian) to oversee the place meets his exacting... more

I chose this hotel as it is close to where I would be working in Cairo but did not stay long. The rooms are very small and not well maintained for the price one has to pay, though it was generally pretty clean and the location, off in a back street, not too bad when one gets to know the... more

As I live in Egypt I frequently go to the Karvin when in Cairo on business or for pleasure. This is a *** hotel; don't expect a swimming pool, a spa, or big chandeliers. What you can expect are: very friendly and helpful staff, a great rooftop bar, the best Indian food in Cairo and good value for money. It... more

This hotel is totally fine for sleeping. It is clean and quiet. The rooms are spartan and could use some extra lights, but it is entirely acceptable. This place is a bit difficult for the taxis to find and all of our taxis had to stop and ask directions from a few strangers to find it, but no real problems.... more
